I've never had halwa before but I'm glad my 1st time was here! Super delicious. Had the buffet during lunch time. Goat curry, butter chicken, and paneer were great! They even have salad available!

Very delicious, the flavors just dance on your mouth!!! Everything was got and presented well. Spices are to your taste you choose if you want your mouth to be on fire or not. Great choices and vegetarian friendly. I highly recommend the experience. It would be even better if bread came with the meal instead of purchasing separately. But hey it's worth it. My lunch was excellent 😋

The food was great. I haven't had an Indian food since I left San Diego, CA, about three years ago. I am glad I found one that tastes close to home. They did not disappoint, and the leftovers were as good as the first time. The chicken had a nice little spice like described.

Pakwaan is sooo good. I am a big fan of Indian Cuisine and this is the best place on the southside of the Richmond metro area. I highly recommend adding the bread sampler to your order as it allows you to try 3 different types. My favorite is the garlic naan although the stuffed bread was also tasty. The whole wheat one is a healthier option. If you are ordering for two, just one order of the bread is plenty as you get 3 large rounds cut in half to make 6 slices. As for the entrée you can never go wrong with Tikka Masala. I went with the Malai Kofta which has a delicate nutty sauce and falafel (chickpeas that are basically non meat meatballs for anyone who is unfamiliar- you see falafel a lot in Greek cuisine as well).

Amazing food with one of the best curry in the area! I ordered the garlic Naan, Pakwaan Chicken Kabob, Chicken Curry, and the Ghobi Manchurian.

Delicious food, friendly staff, clean restaurant. The dishes appeared small at first but were actually very filling. We ended up taking leftovers home. Would definitely eat here again!

The lunch buffet is back! Same price and excellent food as pre-pandemic! Staff was super nice. It was great to see the restaurant full. A terrific value for such deliciously exotic fare in the suburbs in a casual atmosphere. Definitely going back!

Pakwaan is a true haven for vegetarians, offering an impressive selection of mouthwatering plant-based dishes that cater to diverse palates. Their menu is a treasure trove of delectable vegetarian options, highlighting the rich flavors of Indian cuisine. The momos in particular, are a standout, with their perfectly steamed exteriors and delicious fillings that burst with authentic flavors.

Some of the best Indian food I’ve been had. The service is great and the food is fantastic. Serving sizes are generous, and food is brought to the table quickly. We highly recommend this to all of our friends and family. It’s truly a hidden gem

Delicious variety of Indian foods and breads (naan). Hot, fresh, authentic. Best Indian restaurant I've been to! Nice casual atmosphere, as well. Gathered with others, or by myself, I love it! I crave it every day.

Pakwaan is the best restaurant I have ever went too! Amazing service and food. The owner Mr. Rampal is such a humble personality and the food also depicts that exact taste of humbleness. Very delicious Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Vindaloo.

Very cute restaurant and surprising being in a strip mall. Authentic food and when you dine in it's white tablecloth and excellent service. When you take out they are very true to their estimated time. One of the best Indian places I have eaten at in a very long time

Delicious! Highly recommend the weekend brunch buffet for newcomers to Indian cuisine, because you can sample taste 4-6 main dishes, along with bread, sauces, and even a dessert! Not everything is spicy - butter chicken and tandoori chicken are great options for kids or anyone who prefers mild foods. Great takeout, too - you can specify what spice level you'd like. Love it!

Lunch time was not busy. Good, friendly service. Tasty lunch specials. Allow extra time (15-20 minutes) for tandoori choices. I will definitely go back.

Service was fast and friendly, and helpful if you dont know what to order. Overall atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed. Mango margarita was great. Goat curry, chicken tikka masala, fragrant rice, and fresh hot garlic naan was all perfect. I was in and out within 30 minutes.

Dined recently for the first time with my family and had a great experience. Service was friendly and attentive, dishes came out quickly and were delicious. Also, they’re not kidding about the spice level, I ordered my dish medium and it was pleasantly spicy & flavorful. Would definitely visit again!

This place is DELICIOUS. Me and some coworkers came here once during an internship, and we loved it so much that we came back every week. The service is quick and the waiter, Presley, was a highlight of every visit. The chicken curry with garlic naan is incredible, and so is the rest of the menu. I wish I could give 6 stars.

This place will scratch your itch for most Indian dishes, whether you're a fan of milder dishes or full-on native spice. If you're new to Indian food, I recommend the lunch buffet on Saturdays and Sundays, from 12-2:30; it's a great way to try a few different dishes at a decent price. The staff are engaged, and helpful (in my experience), and the atmosphere is pleasant.
